Child Mind Institute

About the Project

The School & Community Programs at Child Mind Institute is an initiative that provides both prevention and intervention resources to educators, mental health professionals and caregivers to bring care to children of all ages.

I joined the team to consult on the visual design of the Mental Health Skill-Building (MHSB) curriculum, establishing both digital and print asset libraries and presentation templates that are aesthetically tailored for 5 student age groups. I also created stock illustrations to support on the e-learning curriculum for adults.

Curriculum Presentation Templates

Giving clinicians and experts the building blocks to create engaging mental health skill building lessons for students of all ages.

To keep things as modular and flexible as possible, I leaned into a “scrapbook” style, where elements could be layered, swapped, and combined and still look harmonious.

Below are some select templates I designed for each of the 5 grade bands: Early Elementary, Late Elementary, Middle School, Early High School, Late High School.

Curriculum Illustration

Each grade band needed a library of illustrated assets to demonstrate ideas and activities.

Below are some examples of spot illustrations I’ve made to be added to each grade band’s respective curriculums.

Educator Workshops

In collaboration with clinicians and mental health experts, I formatted and illustrated a series of educator training workshops to develop their skills in supporting students on mental health topics.
