About Me
Let’s talk about your project!
I’m Julie Dang, a multidisciplinary illustrator and designer with over a decade of industry experience across graphic, illustrative, UX/UI, and motion design. I have a deep passion for creating thoughtful, bespoke-to-fit design solutions in close partnership with my clients.
With a masters degree in Communication Design, my approach to every project is rooted in translating research, tone, and concepts into attractive and clear visual language; helping audiences meaningfully connect with a client’s mission.
I’m especially interested in education and impact-focused initiatives, and I’m eager to support organizations working to share meaningful messages through design.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me traveling, trying new foods, reverse-engineering esoteric recipes, and learning how to make things by hand.
What I Offer
From book illustration to full brand overhaul, I offer tailored solutions to elevate your visual language to new heights.
-
Attractive, high quality illustrations that communicate your story, adaptable across multiple styles and formats.
-
Turn your idea into a functional, brand-aligned design system with a collaborative design process, from start to finish.
Kind Words From My Clients
“Working with Julie Dang on our Mental Health Skill Building and LearnUpon projects has been a fantastic experience.
Julie’s visuals and design work became one of the strongest and most consistently praised aspects of the curriculum throughout our beta testing process. Participants repeatedly commented on how inclusive, engaging, and emotionally resonant the graphics felt, sharing feedback like ‘The graphics were very inclusive,’ ‘The visuals increased my engagement in the courses,’ and ‘I really love all the images and the diverse representation.... The teachers actually looked like us!’
Julie has an ability to create visuals that not only complement complex mental health content but also make it feel more approachable, relevant, and reflective of the communities we serve. Her work significantly strengthened the overall learner experience and helped transform challenging topics into something engaging, accessible, and human.”
